Anyone can swab a stain. The expensive mistakes happen when nobody finds where the water is coming from. We investigate the whole building: moisture, air movement, the HVAC system and the history of the house, so the fix is done once.

How we work outside our home base.
We are based in Virginia Beach, VA, and we do not keep storefronts in other cities. What we do instead:
- Every job starts with a call. Most questions get a clear answer by phone or video the same week.
- Large and complex investigations: we travel to the property.
- Smaller jobs far from us: we still take the call, tell you exactly what to ask for, and point you to a local inspector we are comfortable recommending.
Most states do not license mold inspectors. That means certifications, methods and report quality vary widely. Our guide on how to vet a mold inspector covers what to ask.
If a moldy area is under about 10 square feet and the cause is obvious, you may not need anyone. We will tell you that on the call.
Before you book
Do I need mold testing?
Not always. Testing is useful when it answers a specific question, such as whether hidden growth is affecting the air in one room, or whether a remediation actually worked. Testing when the mold is already visible usually tells you what you already know.
What does an investigation cost?
It depends on the size of the property, how many systems are involved and whether travel is needed. You get the scope and the price on or after the first call, before anything is scheduled. The first call is free.
Do you do the remediation?
No, on purpose. We find the cause, write the order of work, and can verify the result. Keeping investigation and remediation separate is how you avoid paying for work you do not need.
Can you review a report or bid I already have?
Yes. That is one of the most common reasons people call. Send it when you book and we will go through it with you.
